RNIB WIN WIN Lottery

Q. What is the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery?

A. The RNIB WIN WIN Lottery is all the fun of a Friday wrapped into a weekly chance to win cash prizes. It offers our players a fantastic way to support our work whilst also giving them the opportunity to win big prizes! It’s open to all residents of Great Britain and Northern Ireland over the age of 18.

Q. Where can I see the full terms and conditions for the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery?

A. You can find the full terms and conditions of the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery here. You will be prompted to read and agree to these terms and conditions when signing up to play.

Q. Who runs the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery?

A. The RNIB WIN WIN Lottery is run by RNIB and administered by Woods Valldata (Lansdowne House, Bumpers Way, Chippenham SN14 6NG) who are our appointed External Lottery Agency. The RNIB WIN WIN Lottery is regulated by the Gambling Commission and complies with all Gambling Commission Requirements regulations under the 2005 Gambling Act. The licence number is 52196. The UK Gambling Commission is the regulatory body for casinos, bingo clubs, gaming machines, and the larger society lotteries in Great Britain.

Q. How do I play the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery?

A. It’s simple. Start by choosing five different numbers between 1 and 49 (or we can choose them for you). These five numbers will make up one line, otherwise known as a ‘chance’, which is one entry into the lottery. You can select how many lines you want to play per week, up to a maximum of five lines when playing online. Then enter your details to set up your monthly Direct Debit, and that’s it! Easy – and it only takes a few minutes. One line costs just £1 per draw. There is a draw every week on a Friday.

Q. How many lines can I buy per week for the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery?

A. You can buy up to a maximum of five lines per week online. If you would like to purchase more than five lines (up to a maximum of 10) please call our lottery hotline on 0330 002 0050.

Payments and winnings

Q. How much will I pay via Direct Debit?

A. Every line costs £1 per draw, per week. So if you play one line per week, for instance, you will pay £4 or £5 a month. If you play more than one line per week, your Direct Debit will increase to reflect this, for example, if you play two lines per week, you will pay £8 or £10 per month.

Q. What day is my Direct Debit collected?

A. The collection day for your Direct Debit is either the 1st or 15th of the month, or the nearest working day. You can choose which of these dates you prefer.

Q. Why does my direct Debit vary from month to month?

A. It costs just £1 per line to play the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery each week. So, if you play one line per week in a month with four Fridays, £4 will be debited from your account. Some calendar months are made up of five Fridays with five draws taking place instead of four, so the cost for that month will be £5. Your Direct Debit will only be collected once a month but, depending upon the number of weeks within that month, your payment will vary. Don’t worry, we will send you a payment schedule for the whole year when you first sign up, so you’ll know how much will be collected each month.

Q. How soon after setting up my Direct Debit am I eligible to win?

A. You will be entered into the next draw that takes place after your first successful Direct Debit payment. Due to administrative processes, there is a 21 day gap between when you sign up and when your first Direct Debit can be taken. You will be eligible to win in the first draw you are entered into. The collection day for your Direct Debit is either the 1st or 15th of the month, or the nearest working day. You can choose which of these dates you prefer when you sign up.

Q. How are the winners selected?

A. Non Superdraws: All players' RNIB WIN WIN Lottery numbers are entered into the draw; a random number generator is used to select a winning set of numbers (winning number). A winning number is selected for each prize position and prizes will be drawn in order – the first prize will be drawn first, second prize second, third prize next and so on until all prizes have been allocated.

A. Superdraws: All players' WIN WIN lottery numbers and raffle entries will be assigned a unique number, these unique numbers will be entered into the draw. A random number generator is used to generate the winning number. A winning number is selected for each prize position and prizes will be drawn in order – the first prize will be drawn first, second prize second, third prize next and so on until all prizes have been allocated.

Q. How will I recieve my winnings?

A. You’ll receive a letter from us in the post within 21 days of the draw, which will include your winner’s cheque. If we have permission to call and/or text you, we will also try to call and/or text you to let you know you have won as soon as possible after the draw.

Q. Can I share my story of winning on the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery with you?

A. Yes, we love hearing how good it feels to play and win in the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery. Please feel free to share your story with us, by sending us a ‘feel good’ photo (no passport photos please), along with your story to: email us at [email protected] or write to us at: Fundraising Enquiries, RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People), Grimaldi Building, 154a Pentonville Road, N1 9JE.

Q. Do any of my winnings go towards the RNIB?

A. No, every penny you win is yours to keep and do with as you like. If you want to donate some of your winnings, you can – but it’s your choice.

Q. How many winners are there each week?

A. Every week there are 150 winners in the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery. First prize is £1,000, second prize is £100, then eight winners will win £25 each and 140 winners will receive £5 each. There are four Superdraws a year March, June, September and December.

Q. Can more than one person win the same prize?

A. Non Superdraws: Yes, if more than one person matches the winning number for the 1st prize the prize value will be shared equally between each winner. For all other prize positions if more than one WIN WIN lottery number matches the winning number then all matching lottery numbers will win that prize.

A. Superdraws: No, each winning number drawn will match a unique number allocated to either a player's WIN WIN lottery number or a raffle entry; no 2 people can have the same unique number and therefore the 1st prize will not be shared.

Q. How and when will I know if I'm a winner?

A. The draw will take place every Friday, and all winners will be notified by post within 21 days. You can also check our results section to see the latest winning numbers.

Q. Are my RNIB WIN WIN Lottery payments eligible for Gift Aid?

A. Unfortunately, they’re not eligible for Gift Aid – but a single donation is eligible.

Q. How do I cancel my Direct Debit for the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery?

How funds are used

Q. How does the RNIB WIN WIN Lottery help fund your work?

  • The RNIB Connect Community including (but not limited to) RNIB Connect Radio;
  • Community Engagement;
  • Involvement and Facilitation, including (but not limited to) peer-to-peer support, local campaigning, community fundraising, national advocacy activity, policy and public affairs; and

Q. Where does the money to fund the prizes come from?
